Reporter, Real Deals
A fantastic opportunity to report from the front line of the real economy, working on Europe`s leading private equity and venture capital title, Real Deals.
We are seeking to appoint a tenacious and ambitious reporter with excellent writing skills, to cover the venture capital sector across Europe and high-growth companies in the UK.
The role will involve producing hard-hitting news stories, feature articles and analytical pieces for Real Deals – as well as contributing to sister title Real Business, the UK`s leading magazine for entrepreneurs. In the process, you will build a first-class contacts book of Europe`s VC houses and top entrepreneurs.
The successful applicant must have energy, flair and strong interpersonal skills, as well as a keen interest in, and understanding of, business and finance. The successful candidate would be expected to represent Real Deals and Real Business at a variety of functions, including our own awards and conferences.
A second European language and experience of online publishing would be an advantage, but are not essential requirements. The salary offered up to £25,000 per annum subject to experience.

Freelance editors, contract publishing
Our extremely successfully contract publishing division is on the look-out for enthusiastic freelance editors to develop the content and direction of a number of publications. These roles will involve producing, commissioning, managing, editing and proof-reading editorial copy in close conjunction with clients and our in-house editorial and production teams.
Ideal candidates will have a background in business to business titles, with an ability to manage demanding clients as well as being incredibly organised.
All-round editorial and interviewing experience, combined with an avid attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment is important. Effective written and verbal communications skills are crucial. Languages (French, German) a plus.
